"He never saw it coming! He had it in his hands!" - Chaos erupted at a local Target this weekend as a dramatic turn of events reminiscent of WWE SummerSlam unfolded in the action figure aisle. A collector, who had finally found the elusive Marvel Legends Psylocke and Thanos Gamerverse two-pack, was blindsided by another collector who cashed in their "Money In The Bank" toy briefcase... and walked away with the prize! ToyFarce investigated...

Witnesses say the first collector, who had been searching for the two-pack for weeks, was overcome with joy and visibly emotional after spotting it behind a stack of discounted Eternals figures. "He was cradling it like a newborn child" said one onlooker. "He even started crying, saying 'Finally… it's mine'."

But before he could make it to the cashier, the situation took a shocking turn.

Out of nowhere, another collector, who had been lurking suspiciously in the wrestling figure section while wearing a neck brace and faking a limp, ripped off the brace, sprinted toward the victim, and slammed down a bright yellow "Money In The Bank" briefcase on the checkout counter, saying 'NOT SO FAST, BUDDY!'

The store employee, clearly a wrestling fan, immediately recognized what was happening. "OH MY GOD! HE'S CASHING IN! HE'S CASHING IN!" he screamed, before snatching the two-pack from the first collector and handing it to the briefcase-holder.

The "Money In The Bank" briefcase is part of a new, totally made-up promotion in which collectors can win the chance to swoop in and claim any collectible they see in another collector's hand, provided they cash in at the exact right moment, and shout something dramatic.

The briefcase-holder, now clutching the Psylocke and Thanos set, climbed atop the counter and shouted, "This is MY moment! I've waited for this day!" before disappearing into the parking lot with the speed of a Mezco drop.

The original collector was left stunned, muttering "But… but I had it. It was mine..."

In an exclusive interview with ToyFarce, the victim commented: "I didn't even know we were doing briefcase cash-ins now. I was just happy to find that two-pack. I thought the fake injury was a bit much, but it worked. Fair play, I guess. I'm just gonna go cry in the NECA aisle for a bit."

Toy stores around the country are now on high alert, with new signage going up: "Briefcase Cash-ins Must Be Cleared with Management beforehand".
